An Open Letter from our Conductor

Hi everyone,

We have been busy rehearsing for our first two concerts of 2022.

The first concert is at Gristhorpe Village Hall on Sunday May 8th starting at 2.30pm. The concert is free but we are asking for a voluntary contribution for the Ukrainian people. Also we have special guests joining us: The Mayor and Mayoress Councillor Eric and Mrs Broadbent.

The second concert is at St. Mary's Church Scarborough on Saturday May 21st starting at 7.30pm. This is to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee. Again, we have special guests joining us on this fantastic achievement: The Deputy Lord Lieutenant our local MP Sir Robert and Lady Goodwill, Members of Scarborough Borough Council, The Town Crier, and Members of the Scarborough Sea Cadets. A concert not to be missed giving us all an opportunity to thank Her Majesty for 70 years of service to our country and the Commonwealth. This is a free concert with a voluntary collection for St. Mary's Church and the Scarborough Sea Cadets.

Also, I would personally like to thank the Members of the Scarborough Concert Band for there hard work on what will be two wonderful concerts.

We look forward to seeing you all at our concerts.
